Appliance Service Technician Job Summary

Responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of customer kitchen and laundry appliances. The Appliance Technician will complete repairs on various units and complete all related paperwork to the repair in a timely and complete manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a variety of appliances in the homes of customers, such as refrigerators, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, disposers, and washers and dryers.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, replaces parts, tests and make necessary adjustments on appliances and components.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with the customers.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform repairs, maintenance, and services.
  • Performs a variety of electrical functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools and electric meters.
  • Performs all required paperwork as directed by the management team in a complete, timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains a functional, clean company vehicle and ensures timely maintenance and repairs.
  • Able to use online appliance repair software APP.
  • Comply with safety regulations.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Sufficient experience in and knowledge of appliance repairs.
  • Be reliable, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Customer Service and communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to satisfy background and drug testing requirements.

Maximum Qualifications:

  • Experienced is preferred, however will train the right candidate.
  • Ability to trace wiring diagrams.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds at times.

Parts Counter Staff

Nothing gets replaced without someone making sure the technicians have what they need.

  • You will need at least a high school diploma or a GED.
  • This position requires previous experience ordering replacement parts.
  • Our service calls require servicing a wide array of appliances, devices, and fixtures supported by our parts counter.
  • The goal is a 40 hour week, but sometimes more than an 8 hour day is needed to help our technicians finish their service call.

Customer Service Specialist

Technicians in the field need a good support team.

Job Summary:

  • The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible primarily for taking customer service calls for residential appliance repairs and will handle pre-determined processes related to these service calls in a timely and appropriate manner. Due to the service nature of the business candidate must speak English fluently. No Supervisory responsibilities.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to set up and schedule service work tickets. May provide support and information on an assigned product or service to field technicians and management.
  • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to help resolve customers’ service needs and concerns.
  • Maintains with accuracy customer work tickets and records customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments on the computer.
  • Uses knowledge of a specific product, service, or other assigned area of expertise to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff accordingly.
  • Training on new service management software system.
  • Help create and meet S.M.A.R.T. performance goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience - relevant experience maybe substituted and sufficient for the position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
